WORK FORCE STUDY
The PA PIC is leading an initiative to assess the workforce issues within the tri-state region. The core questions asked by the Northwest Frontier ATTC in its workforce study will be utilized, as well as questions developed by the PA PIC/NEATTC to assess the technological needs of the workforce. The survey will be conducted in a representative sample of providers across the tri-state region.
The following slides present a brief overview of the comprehensive approach a hospital located in New Jersey (Hackensack University Medical Center) has used, with great success, to support and develop their workforce. The workforce at Hackensack is highly stable, and in fact, the hospital has received several awards recognizing their ability to attract and retain staff. What is even more important is that Hackensack has linked quality with workforce health and revenue generation. These strategies can be applied to addictions treatment.
